Research Associate

This position requires 3-5 years of experience in business, economics, regulatory, public policy and/or other analytical disciplines in the energy, public utility, or natural resources industries. Desirable experience includes working with state or federal regulatory agencies, energy companies, and utility companies. Also, prior work pertaining to preparing expert witness reports, working in litigation support, economic impact analysis, and cost-benefit analysis demonstrates skills utilized as a Senior Research Associate.

Candidates must possess strong analytic and writing capabilities and have the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Senior Research ANALYST

Acadian Consulting Group seeking Sr. Research Analyst in Baton Rouge, LA

Conduct high-level research in energy regulation, market trends, policies, and studies for clients; Apply high-level of research methods, continually collect and analyze data, analyze relevant market and industry data, identify actionable intelligence, interpret complex research data and process large sets of data and findings into strategies and solutions, advise senior management and present findings to management and clients. Prepare reports, workpapers, and exhibits used for expert testimony and litigation support for clients before public commissions or U.S. civil courts. Conduct duties using: Microsoft Office, R-Studio, Stata, SAS

Req’s: Masters degree in Environmental Management, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics or related field, plus 6 months research experience in: business, economics, regulatory/public policy and/or other analytical disciplines in energy, public utility or natural resources industry, 6 months experience with: Microsoft Office, R-Studio, Stata, SAS.
